Helping the poor children to have their better living is COERR’s wish. COERR and Enfants du Mekong have supported poor Thai children in Sakaew Province since 2005 through the sponsorship program in which each selected child has received monthly financial support to cover their educational and personal expenses to enable them to continue their education. This year, the number of children sponsorship has reached 131. In February 2013, a sponsored child has met her sponsor who came from Germany to visit her at Thai Samakkhee school in Tapraya district and her home in order to give her and her friends some gifts and moral support.

The sponsorship program and the sponsor’s visit have provided the poor children with hope and happiness that someone still care for them and that they can continue their study and be a good part of her society.
